Today, children took part in an exciting assembly introducing the next stage of our OPAL journey: Large Loose Parts Play.
Over the coming weeks, we will be expanding our range of play resources to include items such as pallets, planks and tarpaulins. These materials provide endless opportunities for creativity, teamwork, problem-solving and imaginative play. We are looking forward to seeing the incredible ideas and structures our children create.
Can You Help?
We are still seeking donations of suitable large loose parts, particularly:

Scaffold planks

Decking planks

Tarpaulins

Keeping Play Safe
A key principle of OPAL is ensuring that children are safe enough to enjoy challenging, engaging and rewarding play opportunities. This is supported during the school day through our trained staff and high-quality roaming supervision.
At the end of the school day, this level of supervision is not in place. Therefore, we kindly ask parents and carers not to allow children or younger siblings to use or play on any OPAL equipment after school. This request is made purely for safety reasons and helps us ensure that everyone can continue to enjoy these exciting play opportunities safely.
